Our amazing neighbour below our office here in Michelin House is of course the legend that is Claude Bosi. It was my first-time meeting Claude and he is a gem. What a beautiful restaurant. I felt a million miles away from being in a busy junction in Chelsea. It was a sunny day, and you can see the tops of trees through the windows, which transported me to feel like I was in the country even. The whole ambiance is wonderful, great music playing too, and just a charm that is freshening and not pretentious, yet luxurious, all in one. This would be an amazing place to take your parents for a treat, or your Mum on her birthday, it’s got all the makings of that level of excellence and that was all the feelings before even eating anything yet.
WOW. What an experience, we are talking three stars here – it’s sat on two right now but can’t possibly for long. My favourite dishes were the Bibendum egg, sunflower seed emulsion and toasted sunflower, this was really delicate and beautiful and an ingredient not often used. The white asparagus, smoked ricotta whey, Ossetra caviar was exquisite, and the Challans duck, with black pudding, and cumin, holy moly, I hoovered this down so fast, my dining companion had to double take a look at my plate. I loved it.
There were also a few familiar faces on service from The Greenhouse too which was a pleasant surprise. I adored everything from start to finish here, just wonderful.
