Arriving in London and being able to finally eat out again after the huge shift this year has brought, my first stop had to be The Frog. Adam not only has been a guest chef at my cookery school and has interviewed with us too. Coming here to support him and his team and to experience Frog for the first time is massively important, after the pandemic has hammered my own business hard, and Adam’s too. Like me, he’s a hard worker and grinds non-stop to power on to adapt and evolve, and he is my first visit to come and support in these crazy times.
What an experience, which did not disappoint. Just shocked there is no star for Adam here because he absolutely should have long been recognised for one. I love the theatre of the snacks with all the liquid nitrogen, my boys loved it too. And oh my word, the lobster, cooked in wagyu beef fat. Holy moly. Great service, gorgeous location, nestled in Covent Garden, beautiful restaurant, open kitchen, and everything executed perfectly.
