Loved it so much, had to return with my family in tow, needed my husband to taste just how good that lamb dish was, and enjoy everything else. This time it wasn’t just the food that blew me away, it was the utterly exceptional wine list and a very brilliant Sommelier – who sadly was leaving to venture to Claridge’s, but he introduced me to a pinot noir like no other. A rose even, but an experience, so good that I had to track down a bottle and then found my next favourite place being Hedonism which is actually the same owners, and the wine cellar stocked by them and more. The oysters with caviar were exceptional and a new favourite. A feast of beef and all the trimmings including a the most amazing potato cakes – as per with the lamb, and all the flavours, the freshness, and just happiness. This is my happy place, in every way, and my sort of food. Good ingredients, cooked well, presented nicely. This is just Hide ground, there’s the above to yet visit too.
