A short and sweet lunch visit here to Lisboeta to feast on a few tasty morsels from Chef Nuno Mendes.  A taste of Portugal. Gorgeous bar area with stool seating and relaxed good vibes. I love the whole counter eating as it takes me back to my Mallorca tapas days.

Aged Bavette Steak with Pica Pau Sauce – this was tasty.

Sadly no Carabineiro had arrived that day.

Morcela e Lingueirāo – Morcela sausage and razor clams on toast.

Vidalho Empada – Goan-spiced pork pie.

Mushroom Açorda – Wild and cultivated mushrooms with egg yolk bread sauce – this was nice.

Copita – Dry cured shoulder of pork charcuterie, and some very good bread.

Abade de Priscos – Egg yolk and pork fat custard with port wine caramel – this was the star of the show.

Tarte de Amêndoa – Almond and butternut tart with olive oil.

All was good. Do order that pork custard, it was the best dish really, although a few bites was enough, it was super rich and I could feel each mouthful sticking immediately to my hips…
