Coming back here was a treat and a half. Wow, what a gorgeous location, I had been to the original Noma last which you’ll have to scroll right back for, ant times, but this was Game Season and oh boy, did I eat all the game. Part of a table full of fellow foodies, we ate and drank well and enjoyed the whole noma experience.
Reindeer brain, reindeer penis and bear. I can now say I have eaten and loved. Obviously, you wouldn’t even know as it all tasted amazing, because it’s just all umami heaven right here, it’s all about drawing as much flavour, and that is what you get from this experience. Ingredients brilliantly matched and presented,
Wild boar speck with chestnut paste, the grilled mushrooms, wow.
Apple salad, clean palate cleansing, to prepare you for the amazing yellow beet sashimi, bear dumpling, whole cooked duck, reindeer marrow caramel. All blew me away.
Amazing wines to match, as well as an extra special one that James the manager brought out for us as a treat, a very special pinot noir.
Loved it all. Rene and the team truly know how to make you feel like family at their table. The most hospitable and special restaurant ever, and no surprise it has been awarded number one, best restaurant in the world, an accolade won just a week before my visit.
