It has long been on my list to visit Akoko, so glad I made it as I had the most fabulous lunch and equally good company and catch up with fellow gourmand John Bruno too.
There is a wonderful atmosphere and team here, such friendly service and it’s super relaxed too.
Lunch was cram packed with so many amazing flavours.
Smoked Quail Egg, Avocado, Trout Roe.
Blue Mussels, Heritage Tomatoes.
Mackerel, Vatapá
Monkfish, Sosu Kaani.
Goat Cashew Cream, Caviar.
Herdwick Lamb, Aubergine, Shito and Joffaf Rice. Really delicious.
Ox Tongue, Bone Marrow, absolutely loved this.
Granita, Zobo, Green Shiso
Uda Ice Cream, Chocolate Coffee Cake.
A few stand out dishes, most especially the Ox Tongue with Bone Marrow. I loved it all.
Really very good, will most certainly be back.
