Notting Hill. So good to finally be here at long last. Been on my list for years to come but never had a chance. Sat at Chef’s Table to see into the kitchen here at Core was a treat. Clare was at Bocuse d’Or on the day I visited, so sadly didn’t get to see her. The whole brigade did an amazing job and opting for the classic menu to experience all that Core is, well, at its core. Brilliantly executed dishes, a very memorable scallop tartare dish, delicate and clean, fresh and simply beautiful. Service was impeccable and won’t be long before another star will be added. I need to return when Clare is here and to eat even more of their amazing offerings.
Update 2021- since this visit, Clare and Core by Clare Smyth have been awarded a third star.
